Throughout my young athletic career I have had many successes and failures. Both have helped mold me into who I am and who I want to become.
Success breeds confidence. The more you have the more you start to believe in yourself and those around you. I have found that the most important part of success is understanding that you did not get there alone. It takes the support of family, friends, teammates, coaches and teachers.
Failure is hard on everyone involved. It breeds self doubt. I understand my teammates may be doubting themselves after a big loss and I believe it is my role as a team leader to keep spirits up, build team confidence, and lead by example. I know my positive attitude, work ethic, and enthusiasm for life will earn the respect of those I compete with as well as those I compete against.
I'm excited to move on to the next level where I can push the limits of my ability and grow into the finest student athlete I can be.
