Doug Ryan '15 Recruiting Profile

I currently play on both sides of the ball for the South River Rams Varsity Team. I play tailback on offense and i play safety on defense. I have been playing football since the age of 5 so I have an above average football IQ. I work hard and always will to achieve goals. My dream is to play football in college at the Division 1 level. I ran for 1200 yards and scored 14 TD's as a sophomore in 2012. In 2013, my Junior year, I was named to the New Jersey State Group 1 and Middlesex County  first team offense by the Star Ledger. I was named All Area 1st team Defense by the Home News Tribune .I ran for 1300 yards and 20 TD's in 7 games. I was the strongest sophomore at National Underclassman Combine  on 04/14/13 with 35 reps of 155 pounds, and I also ran a hand timed 4.50 40 yard dash.  I plan on attending as many camps possible during the off season before my Senior year. I won the District and County Wrestling Tournaments and placed 4th in the Region at 195 lbs. .  I have a 3.5 GPA and academics are going to play a big part in my future decisions. My goal is to earn a degree in criminal justice through an academic or football scholarship.
