STEVEN KENNEY '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Steven J. Kenney, my dad calls me "Champ" and my coaches and teammates call me "Scuba".  I am a high school senior at Monsignor DOnovan High School in Toms River, NJ.  I love football and have had an incredible four years playing at Monsignor Donovan.  I began playing football for Pop Warner when I when I was eight years old until I was ten then started again Freshman year in high school.  My sophomore year was the year I learned all I needed and my junior year I excelled tremendously earning the "Most Improved Player" for the year, I earned the game ball during the season as well as getting to lead the team carrying our "Hit Stick" onto the field for our playoff game vs. Delbarton later that season.  This year, my senior year, I earned the gameball during the season, helped lead my team to a victorious season winning the 2012 B South Division Championship, and I recently received the "Strength of the Lion" Award.  I have been chosen as the 2ND TEAM ALL B SOUTH for 2012 and am also selected to play in the upcoming Shore's Best Gridiron Classic game to be played in the early summer this year.  Although I primarily am a starter for DT I also have started/played OT part of last season and throughout the season this year. 

My dreams and aspirations are to continue playing football in college and am open to any school right now.  My college search continues as I seek to find the best college that not only fits my acadmic desires but where I can enjoy playing football on an athletic scholarship and see where the future leads me.  I have a great, supportive family and know whatever my decision they will be there to guide me and support me 100%.  I invite any/all interested colleges to contact me, my partents, and my coaches.
