Zachary Wugman '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing football since 2nd grade and playing middle linebacker since 3rd grade. Football is my passion. It brings out the best qualities in me.  I would like to continue playing through college and hopefully further. I am a physical linebacker that is tough physically and mentally.  I have been playing with older kids my entire life, always playing at least one year ahead.  When I was in 5th grade, I played in a 6th grade Super Bowl with pneumonia and 102 fever and helped my team win that game.  I also played 6 weeks of my 6th grade year with a broken wrist and still led the team in tackles.  I am very competitive and don't like to come out of games, not even for injuries.  I made the youth football all-star team all 3 years I was eligible (2017, 2019, 2021), and in 2022 I was selected to play in the UYFL National Championships representing a NJ 14U all-star team even though I played for 13U.  My interception in the final game set up the winning touchdown for us and the 3rd place finish in the tournament. I have very good grades in school, B+ to A-.  I now go to Saint Joseph Regional High School. My freshman year I led the freshman team in tackles and tackles for loss. I now look forward to the next 3 years here.
