Personal Statement

I am 17 years old and a Junior in high school. I am 6' and 200 pounds. I competed in track (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and pole vault) and have been timed in the 40 yrd. dash at 4.70 and under. I was selected to compete with the High School Track Program as an Eight Grader and received a letter in that sport already. I have also played organized ice hockey since the age five. Other sports include basketball, wrestling, mixed martial arts, and amateur body building . I am also a very accomplished guitar player. I posess uncommon leadership skills and am team captain on every team, in every sport in which I compete. I pride myself on never being outworked and always "coach up" my teammates when appropriate. I have a deep understanding of the spread offense and whats it's designed to accomplish. I was tested by the gifted student program at the age of five and scored in the 99th percentile in all catagories, nationwide. I am open to various types of schools but prefer universities recognized for academic excellence. I have not decieded on a major but I am certain that I will pursue an advanced degree. Higher education is a tradition in my family. My great grandfather earned a degree from Princeton University. My father and grandfather both earned degrees at the University of Utah in engineering and geological sciences, respectively. I am seeking an opportunity to attend a university that provides a mutually attractive fit. With respect to football, my only expectation is that I be provided with the opportunity to make a substantial impact on the team.
