I started playing football because my dad did. I wanted to do something he did because I didn’t see him a lot when I was younger. I began playing in 7th grade and I loved it. I enjoyed every practice, game, meeting, and film session. I truly love everything about the game. After every game I would watch film the whole next day because I would want to see what I did in game compared to what I think I did. My goal is to continue to be in a good academic standing going into college and coming out of college so I can have a better future for myself in the long run. Being new to the game when I was able to play school sports, my playing time was limited during my first seasons. Then freshman year my position coach saw my love and passion for the game, so he gave me the chance to start. At the time I didn’t really workout or put in work during the off season. I have grown since freshman year between a coach giving me a chance and not having my sports season due to the pandemic. I first lost the lacrosse season in March 2020, then no summer camps, to a postponed football season in fall 2020. It has had such an impact on me that I’m 100% focused on football and school. I have been working out everyday and getting field work in on my own since we can't use the facilities at school. One thing I think I do differently than some other kids in my class, is how much I study film and plays, I ask questions to coaches till I’m positive what I’m doing is right. I aspire to continue on my journey beyond college as a coach, recruiter or athletic trainer.
