Hello my name is Richard Shumway and I’m a sophomore at cohoes high school . Before 2021 I was pretty lazy and unmotivated but that all changed when my father who was struggling with opioid addiction passed away in april 2021 then my mother passed away from a heart attack almost exactly 6 mouths later. And now my grandmother who I was living with passed away in October 2022 and I am living with a friend so I could stay on my football team. And after that happened I realized just how short life is and how important it is to do everything you can to be great. I would be a great addition to your team because I am willing to play anywhere you think I would be able to help the team most. also I am really fond of constructive criticism I will take all of it to heat. I am also willing to do whatever it takes to make me and my team/teammates better. I also fully understand that life is not fair and you need to work heard to be the best. i take pride in being a student athlete and take my grades very seriously. I like to be the best roll model for younger people and if I were to go to your school I would be a very good example of a student and make your school look good.
