Michael Sciara '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a disciplined, energetic and dynamic football player who is devoted to the game. Each week I commit myself to the weight room, becoming stronger and faster each day. Whether it is weight lifting or running drills on the field, I am willing to do whatever it takes to improve myself as a linebacker and help my team win a championship. I have worked for everything I have achieved. Being a 5'8 180 lb outside linebacker I know each and everyday I must become bigger to compete with my competitors. While trying to improve physically I also strive to improve in my studies, which is my first priority. I am able to maintain a 3.2 GPA in one of the most prestigious high schools in the country (St. Francis Prep). Aside from football, I hope to one day have a career in chemistry or pre- medicine. When looking for a school that is suited for me, I am looking for one that can offer a quality education and a football program with great history, which is important to me because I can learn from past athletes moves. Also following a tradition filled with school pride and motivated players. When it comes to the geographic location I prefer for College, I would be looking in the Northeastern region, However, I would be honored to accept any other colleges that accept my criteria. As pertaining to the size campus I would be looking for, I am interested in any college big or small. I would like to apply for financial assistance due to my Mother being a single parent who put my sister and I through a total of thirteen years of Catholic School education. My familyâ??s savings for education has been used and will be unable to pay for College tuition. My accomplishments are receiving the Senior Scholarship award as a junior student, after three years of unselfish dedication to the sport that I love. Going to war with my brothers every weekend is a feeling like no other. I would be honored to leave a legacy with St Francis Prep and lead a legacy with my future college.
