Kyle Houghtaling '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi coach! If you're looking for an experienced leader/quarterback who can make a major contirbution to your university look no further. From the weightroom to the game field I'm the leader you want on your team. I'm a 6'1", 180lb Quarterback with a  4.7 40, and a 30 inch vertical. My most treasured accomplishment so far during my high school career has been being awarded the Black Lion Leadership Award as a freshman for my actions on and off the field. I pride myself in being a leader and have been elected captain by my teammartes three out of my four years playing high school football. I have also gotten involved in the NUC, National Underclassmen Combine, winning the Quarterback MVP and the Leadership Award at their northern NJ combine. This ultimately led to me being invited to the north east Ultimate 100 in Delaware where I also shined during the combine drills and one on ones earning a chance to participate in NUC's top prospect camp in Oklahoma! Besides my leadership I can also offer any college a player with unmatched work ethic and drive. Coach, you will never find anyone who will ever outwork me, especially when I'm working to live my dream. I grew up dreaming about playing college football! I watched my brother win the 2000 FL state championship game on UF's field, The Swamp! Ever since I've always invisioned myself playing on the big stage infront of my family and friends. My perfect college is a college in which I can be the most successful as a player and a student to best prepare me for the rest of my life. I have no limits on which college, or what kind of college I want to attend. If your college offers me success I will be interested in you! I also plan on qualifying for federal aids/grants to help my family in paying for my education. I've put many hours into my school work with the main goal of earning a scholarship. After I graduate from your university I plan to be a physical therapist and will major in the classes needed to make that plan happen. I have always been interested with how the body works and would love to learn more about that. My realistic athletic goals are to finish my high school career with a NY state championship. My team is more than capable of accomplishing just that and I look forward to showing you my ring when we get to meet! Once I graduate from high school I want to go to a college where I will recieve the most playing time, earned of course. Any college I choose to go to will be adding a positive piece to building their championship puzzle. Coach I love football and I would love to strap up for your university. I'm looking forward to our first practice together!
