TJ Williams '12 Recruiting Profile

I am 6'3 and weigh 285. I run a 5.0sec 40 yard dash. I am very versatile on the field, playing both sides. I started playing football at the age of 7 and have played every since. In the weight room I bench 330, hang clean 280, squat 405 and dead lift 450. During my senior year I am Captain of the team. I help the underclassmen with their technique and always give words of encouragement on the field. I would like to attend a college that helps me grow not only as an individual but as an even better student-athlete. I prefer to attend a college in North Carolina but will consider out of state. I am from a single parent family and will be applying for financial aid. My intended major will be Physical Education. After completing college I would like to return to my high school and coach football.I want to help young athletes grow to become strong and confident student-athletes, like my coaches have done for me. My second sport is track and field. My events are shot put and discus. I was the captain my junior year. I was the only one on my team to qualify for 2 events in regional; after wards, I qualified for shot put event in state regionals held at A&T University, I placed 10th. I have equal amount of passion for both sports. I would love to play both sports in college.
