My dream has always been to play collegiate football at a high level. Since I started playing Pop Warner and now in High School, I’ve had my size to leverage against the competition. But in my freshman year (2014) I was able to combined my size along with my years of working out with a personal trainer to dominate at first the JV level, and more recently at the Varsity level. My desire and abilities proved to the coaches that I belonged as I have started on both the OL & DL while also playing all positions along the OL.
From a character standpoint, I have been playing sports my entire life. In addition, my parents have involved me with Special Olympics since I could remember. We are a close family and as such we care a tremendous amount for those who could use our assistance – whatever that may be: friendship, a Christmas gift, or a mentor on a field. To sharpen my leadership skills I have joined a faith based Leadership program as an intern – learning how to lead others while at the same time developing my own character and values.
In middle school I was a three year starter, while also earning a spot on the FBU Charlotte teams in both 2013 and 2014. In 2013, I was selected to participate in the Eastbay All American bowl held in San Antonio, TX. At HS, I earned the Coaches Award in '15 for commitment and leadership. I’ve learn a great deal from some outstanding coaches and I have been told repeatedly that I am a very coachable athlete. Additionally – I don’t miss practices, not once missing a practice in 5 years of organized ball. In our family a commitment is the priority as our word is our bond.
