Personal Statement

I’ve played soccer since I was five years old and have always been obsessed with the kicking aspect of the game. Whether it’s the precision of launching a ball into the back of the net or the power behind sending it down the field, it’s the part of the game I love the most.   For the past three years, I’ve applied this passion to kicking for football and aspire to play football at the collegiate level.

I am always working to improve my skills, as well as working with a trainer to improve my leg strength. I am a team leader who tries to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable, always trying to improve,  and I strive to be one of the hardest-working players on the team. I am proud to have earned a 4.5-star kicker rating from Ray Guy Prokicker.

School is important to me, and, I’m going to be honest, remote learning my freshman year was a struggle for me, and my grades suffered. I did not want that to define me, though, so I have worked hard and consistently improved my GPA throughout the rest of my high school career. It was a tough lesson but it taught me the importance of picking my head up, putting the work in, and bouncing back stronger.

I want to attend a college where I can push myself both academically and on the football field. Kicking is truly my passion and where I come alive, and I am open to all options that will land me at the right college with the right teammates and an amazing coaching staff. I’ve helped coach football and soccer camps in my hometown throughout high school, and I hope to become a role model to the kids in my community and my peers and continue to make my family proud.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
