My name is Jake Evans, and the one thing I have above all is my mentality. I was not born with the natural talent to be the biggest, fastest, or strongest, yet I can set my own mindset and put in whatever work is required to achieve my goals. My mindset alone has taken me and will continue to take me to where I strive to be, as I would not be where I am today without it. I also believe strongly in my intelligence. I am an AP student enrolled in only honors and AP courses with a high cumulative GPA of 4.04. Outside of academics and athletics, though, I have a natural ability as a leader. I am working towards becoming an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts, a sign of strength in character and outstanding leadership ability. I am also a part of the H(e)arts 4 Guatemala Student Advisory Board, who helps with planning events and fundraising for H(e)arts 4 Guatemala, a charity which helps less fortunate people in Guatemala who struggle with basic food and necessities in their daily lives. I am also a follower of Jesus Christ. Altogether, I not only have the fire in me to compete, but I would be a great leader on any college football roster. I guarantee that I will be worth the time of whichever coach allows me to show what I have.
