Football has always been a big part of my life. I have been a die hard Steelers fan from day one. I finally got a chance to play tackle football in 6th grade. Prior to playing tackle football, I would run 1 on 1s with my friends during recess during elementary school. Once I started playing tackle football I truly fell in love with the game. Watching football before was amazing; however, as I started playing, I learned to appreciate the game more, and developed a deeper understanding of both how the game works and how to play the game at a high level.
I would be an asset not only as a player but also as a student because of my work ethic. No matter what I'm doing, I'm trying to be as efficient as possible. Whether that is shown on the field, in my attention to details and working to perfect technique, or in the classroom where I am working hard to master a concept. Results on the field will only be achieved by hard work. Another big part of efficiency is technique. Just working hard isn’t going to make anyone better. It is that hard work combined with proper technique that fosters growth.
My desire to be the best I can be for my team combined with the deeper understanding of the game allows me to pick up on the little things in film, giving me a general idea of what the play will be before the snap. In addition to this, I use film to understand how the guy across from me will play. Knowing this, I can evaluate which moves will be most effective against a certain opponent.
I look forward to being able to work with/for you and your program!
