My goals as a collegiate athlete are to consistently improve on the field and inside the classroom. I learned my sophomore year that nothing in life is garunteed when we our team didn't make the playoffs for the second time in 27 years. This experience led me to work even harder than I had before, our whole team did. This paid off as we earned our way to week 15 in the Ohio State Championship game. I finished off my year strong ending it with my longest of the year, a 45 yard field goal. We lost that game however, which reminds me that there is still a lot more for me and my team to improve on and I intend to make that happen.
I think that I am a good candidate for your team because I have a great football IQ and also match my performance on the field with my work in school. I am an extremely hard worker and train to prove people wrong and show my determination to always improve. I am also a leader. If someone is doing something wrong I will try to help them fix it. If someone needs help in school, I am there to help them when they need it. Compared to other recruits in my field of expertise, I believe that I stand out in my high level of academics, my intense work ethic, and my determination to prove people wrong.
I love the game of football and aspire to play it for as long as I can and do whatever it takes to make me the best kicker I can be.
