Winston Amankwah '18 Recruiting Profile

I have had a passion for this sport ever since I was a kid. I have played football for 7 years and I have developed many skills. I have played in various positions on offense and defense. I have specifically become a talent at the corner back spot. I have been able to adapt to any position and play it with my whole heart. I am great wrap-up open-field tackler on defense. I am also quick on my feet and with decisions. My hip flexibility and quick feet with my sharp football IQ allow me to be make quick decisions in order to make a play on the ball.

I volunteer at many of my high school and community events. I love help other people and see them know that people care about them in the world. I have developed my leadership skills and I am able to take charge of a large group. I am also a Junior House Captain for my school because I have been noticed for my leadership role.  I take great satisfaction in the smiles of the people that I help get through the finish line.

My academics are my top priority and sports comes next. I strive as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. I am intelligent and I use that on and off the field. I take an AP class and I'm working towards getting all my classes to AP or honors.

One of my favorite quotes from Winston Churchill and one that I abide by in my life is "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often." My personal goal is to improve often. I base everything off my goals and my will to be better than myself.
