I have always been an athletic kid. I have played football, baseball, lacrosse, and even wrestled. The beginning of my sports career started with baseball at the age of 4, which is how I got involved in football. I played flag football at a young age, but tackle football was offered to me when I was about 7 (about 2 years earlier than most). A friend of mines dad needed players for the local youth football team and asked if I would be interested. Turns out I was pretty good at it and had a lot of fun playing. When I was 10 years old, my parents brought me to my very first Ohio state football game. Being in that stadium, the feeling of being with all of those fans and listening to them cheer on the players created a spark. That spark made me wish that I could someday be in a stadium like that; thousands of people cheering on the team as I was on that field became an instant dream. I played every game after that with the mindset that if I work hard enough I could be on that field, living out my dream. About the time I reached middle school I had become faster and stronger than most of the players on the field, which made me a force to be reckoned with. I hit the weight room whenever I could, spent most of the summer working out at the school and once I hit high school things started to fall into place. It became more apparent than ever that I needed to work harder, and listen to the advice of my coaches and former players to get where I needed to be which was on the field in college.
