It all started when I was 3 years old. The sport of choice back then was soccer. I was always one of the youngest on the team because of my starting at 3 instead of 4 years old like everyone else. This by itself motivated me to work harder and harder than everyone else on the team. Academically, I struggled in the classroom as well when it came to getting my full potential acknowledged. Having ADHD motivated me to keep going after my goals and to never give up, no matter how hard things got. I finally stopped playing soccer and switched to football my freshman year in high school, following a bad experience in 8th grade select soccer with a coach. We all know that everyone has their "off days," yet this coach managed to crush all of my hopes and dreams of playing soccer for The Ohio State University. I went from being "that kid on ESPN" and that player whom every opposing team's coaches would personally want to talk with after a long game, to the heartbroken kid with an amazing ability who refuses to utilize it. Now, I play football and I do Mixed Martial Arts. I aspire to attend college and get a Master's degree or maybe even a doctorate in I.T. or Graphics Designing. My dream is to still play a sport in college, but I also am interested in continuing martial arts as an adult. Right now I'm only a kid, so I have no clue what I want 110%, but as a good-hearted Catholic, I'll follow my heart and see which path I take, and I'll see what God has in store for me.
