I enjoy the sport of football and would like to continue playing in college. I have played three varsity sports throughout my high school career. These not only include football, but basketball and track as well. I devote as much time as possible to each sport, while continuing to hit the weight room six days a week for strength and conditioning. I one day hope to have a career as a coach in the exercise science field.
This year I completed the greatest achievement in Boy Scouts, the rank of Eagle Scout. This journey began when I was in first grade at the age of six as a Tiger Cub. Being a scout has helped to strengthen my character and I try to live each day by the scout oath and law. Only 6% of those in scouting reach the rank of Eagle Scout. In my high school, I have served as class treasurer, a member of steering committee and Project Love. I also served as a marshal for the graduating class of 2015.
Also, I have had the opportunity to volunteer as a youth football coach for my brother’s team, while still maintaining a 3.22 GPA and taking college classes at Kent State Ashtabula campus. It has been a great experience watching young players learn and enjoy the game. Remembering how big my dreams were at the age of seven and seeing where I am now. Football teaches many things from bonding with teammates to important life lessons. With this experience, I have grown as an individual and more importantly become a well-rounded student athlete.
My goal is to find a college or university where I can excel in both academics and athletics. With the right opportunity, I believe my personal and professional goals will be achieved.
