I was 8 years old when I began playing football. I was eager to play and learn the sport after watching my big brother play and serving as the water boy for his teams. With my brother only 2 years older than me, I had the privilege to play on the varsity squad with him as a freshman and sophomore. He is someone with whom I have a close relationship and he is now my #1 fan from the stands alongside my Dad, Mom and extended family.
In my first three years of varsity football, I have had to overcome the complete change of our coaching staff and program direction. While this was frustrating at times, it taught me the value of family, perseverance, loyalty, integrity, grit and guts. I consider my football team members of my family. Now entering my final season and team captain, quarterback and strong safety, I fully understand the responsibility I have to my team and others to give 110% every play.
I am athletic and quick to learn new plays or adjustments. I am a student of the game as I avidly watch and analyze film. You won't find someone who works harder than me day in and day out. I work hard but I also value the brotherhood and relationships that go along with a team. My hard work carries over to the classroom. I have taken college level courses over the last two years and maintained a high GPA. I want to play college football while earning a bachelor's degree in Business.
