My name is Kordell Ford. I’m currently a Senior year at Massillon Washington High School in Massillon Ohio. As a Freshman I was a mentor for my 9th grade class and I was our team Captain. At the end of the season I received the coaches award. I will graduate in 2017. My ultimate dream is to continue playing football in college. I am looking for a college that will help me continue to grow as an individual and assist me to be successful upon completion of my college career either via academically or athletically. It has been a dream of mine my entire life to further my academic career past high school and to play football in college. I have always loved the game of football. I’ve been in love with this game and I feel that football is a great tool to assist me in my academic endeavors past the high school level. My dad and uncle both played division 1 football. I want to follow in thier footsteps and continue my edcuation and football past the high school level. I’m a hard worker and a leader in the locker room, and a leader with my friends. As a sophomore, I was the leading sophomore receiver on our team with total receptions. My Junior season i ended up being the second leading tackler on our team and lead our team in INT's. My senior season I ended up being the leading tackler on the team. I believe that one should be a leader and not a follower. With that said, I believe I can be a valuable asset to any college program both athletically and academically. I pride myself on being a good citizen with very high ethical and moral principles. My Junior Season I received the ESPN 990 Defensive player of the year award. Ultimately, playing in college and achieving a quality education is going to make my family proud and that’s what drives me the very most. I have a belief in god, family and school. One of my most enjoyable moments is when I do bible study with my grandmother. I value family and believe that any team that I am a part of is like family to me, and we have to stick to together. As it relates to sports, I believe strongly in a coupe saying: "it should be easy to play hard but hard to play easy" and a quote from Jerry Rice, " . "today I will do what others wont so tomorrow I can do what others cant." My videos really speak for how I play football. I have been told by my coaches that I have a very high Football IQ. I feel that what you see in video represents how I play football. I am confident you will be impressed with how I approach the game. http://www.fridaynightohio.com/news/scouting-report-ursuline-massillon. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
