I became interested in football in third grade when I became bored playing soccer. Through sports I have learned that I am able to learn skills quickly and how to work as a team. I am able to get along with others, even if we don’t agree all the time. My academic goals in high school are to maintain A’s and B’s. In college, I would like to work toward a sports related field or possibly criminal justice. On the field, I plan to be a good teammate while continuing to develop skills in my position. I have learned to love the sport of football, despite some adults being less than encouraging at a young age. Some told me I wouldn’t play in junior high. This taught me patience, determination, and to work hard. In developing this work ethic I was able to become the starting center for my team in 7th grade. I have been able to maintain a starting position since then and earned my varsity letter as a sophomore.
