Caleb Porter '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been committed to football, the sport I love, since I was 5 years old. The game of football has transformed me into the person I am today. Playing both Offense and Defense has taught me discipline, commitment, leadership, responsibility, and the values of being a team player both on and off the field. It’s also taught me to be versatile, as I have played multiple positions on both sides of the ball. I am a two time team captain and have helped lead our teams, for the first time in school history, into back-to-back playoff appearances and a first playoff win.  I have also dedicated myself to the weight room, both in and out of season, which helped me during games while helping me achieve a personal goal and placement in our school's 1,000 lb Club for three straight years. 

During my high school career, as of today, I have been awarded 1st Team All Academic Team (2020), 2nd Team NCOFCA, 2nd Team All Firelands Offensive Tackle, 2nd Team All Firelands Defensive Tackle, 1st Team All Firelands Academic (2021), and 1st Team NCOFCA Tackle Both Sides. I'm a 3 year letterman.

I also lettered in Track for Shot Put and Discus and will receive my second letter this school year  

Currently, I carry a 3.83 GPA and have maintained good grades while attending on-campus college classes studying to get an Associates Degree in Business. I will graduate high school with my Associates Degree. I'm a 3 year Scholar Athlete and working on my 4th year. I'm also a member of the Ohio Scholars Association. Hard work and dedication have helped me to be successful both academically and athletically.
