My college goals and aspirations are to do the thing I love the most at the next level...and that is to play football, while getting a degree in Finance, at a school where I can call family. I have been around the game since I was born (My Dad coaches) and have been playing since the 3rd grade.
I am very competitive, and my desire to win makes me push myself to its limits for that team win. I will do whatever it takes, because there is no better feeling of walking off the field with your brothers, knowing you left everything you had out there on that field for the win!
Letting go of mistakes has been hard, and last season I started working on how to except them, learn from them, and move on - "Play the Next Play" as my Coach says. Keeping a straight head, staying focused and keeping a positive attitude is key. It's not always easy, but it sure does make a difference.
I'm not the crazy/hyper player on the team, but I will be the first person to volunteer, or to welcome the new guy, or to help someone on my team if I see them struggling with a play. I lead by example by doing the right thing when no one is looking on and off the field. I pride myself on being coachable. I listen and watch closely, focusing on form and technique.
I know at times I stress about grades. Being busy with Football, Track & Field and now Hockey, while also working a summer job as a caddy and being a server at our church, doesn't always make things easy. My parents have taught me that grades are just as important as sports, so I make sure to spend the time needed to keep my GPA up above a 3.7, making myself and my parents proud to be a member of the National Honor Society.
