My name is Paul Schmidt. I am currently a Junior at Barnsdall High school in Barnsdall, OK. I live in a rural community, and our population is approximately 1,200. My class size is 38 and I carry a 3.35 GPA. In addition to a rigorous academic schedule, I am a member of our high school football and track teams. In football I hold the positions of wide-receiver and corner-back . As a member of our track team I participate in hurdles, relay, and long jump. I have participated in sports since I was 6 years old. I believe in the team philosophy and apply it to my every day life. I think that we all have to work together to have a success as a team. My goals are to graduate in the top 10% of my class, lead the state in receiving yards, lead my team to a state title, and be selected for all-state. I volunteer with our rural fire department, and stay on call for emergency situations. I am also a member of Lighthouse Family Worship Center, and volunteer my free time to help leaders complete important tasks.
