Sports have played a significant role in my life thus far. I have loved football and baseball since I could hold a ball in my hands. But I noticed early on in my life, my size would work to my advantage in football. Being apart of football has brought a sense of leadership to my life and helped me excel in my academic abilities. It has helped me learn to be disciplined, not only with my workouts but in my school work. Football has pushed me to work hard and helped me realize that every day, with hard work, I am able to achieve my goals. Being apart of the offensive line has helped develop in me a since of teamwork and help me realize that it's not just about me. The offensive line has helped me see the bigger picture in football, that every one on the field has a part/purpose in the play. To me the offensive lineman are not the players who receive the most recognition, and that's ok. I have developed a love for the game not the accolades. With football, I am able to be apart of a larger picture and have realized that my small part plays a large roll in the game. My teammates are my brothers.
To play at the college level has always been a dream of mine. I plan to go to college and pursue a degree in environmental science. At this point in my high school career, I have a 4.0 GPA. I not only work hard on the field, but in the classroom as well. I am a leader with my classmates and on the field. Often times my coaches compliment me on being a "coachable kid".
