My name is Chase Woods, I have had a passion for sports that borders on obsession from the time I could throw a ball. I am a good student and take pride in the fact that I will be the first one in my family to go to college and earn a degree. I appreciate the challenge that studying and playing sports at the next level offer and can't wait to get started. I have played this game since junior high and loved every minute. I have dreamed of playing in college since I was kid.
I grew up in a single parent home, my mom works hard and provides the best she can. One thing she made sure of is my involvement in sports. Sports have been the bonding factor in my family since I could throw a ball. As a matter of fact , to this day, short of a holiday the only time we are all together is for a game or other sporting event. I have played ball since I was 4 years old. I have played football for the last 7 years and played every position from lineman to kicker. Most recently I played as a RB/CB. I have also played Safety and Receiver. My greatest strength is my speed. I am fast and love the feeling of running the ball into the end zone. I have also run track and last summer I went to Australia to compete in an International track meet. It was an amazing experience competing against others from around the world.
I am a team player and enjoy the brotherhood that football provides. I am dedicated, driven and coachable. I understand that playing at the college level is a challenge and I am definitely up for the task. I may not be the biggest most impressive looking guy out there, but I have the most heart. I believe in giving your best effort at everything you do. I can promise that for every play I will give 100%, and walk off the field with no regrets or wondering if I could have tried any harder.
My college goals are to pursue both a quality education and superior mentoring from a great football program. I believe I have an athletic gift and I need a place to continue to cultivate it. I plan on earning my degree in some sort of science/biology or even possibly, sports medicine. I intend to study hard and work harder. I have always planned on playing ball at a college level and believe that I am an asset to any team.
