My name is Luke Beasley and I am a combo kicker/punter prospect. I am going to be a senior third-year starter for the Booker T. Washington High School Varsity football team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will graduate in the spring of 2015.
I was recently ranked the best kicker in northeastern Oklahoma by the Tulsa World newspaper. Here is the link to that article:

I had a great 2013 season. I kicked the most field goals (thirteen) in the state of Oklahoma with my long being 40 yards. I also made a high-pressure, game-winning field goal in the last minutes against McAlester resulting in a final score of 47-45. I was chosen as Tulsa World's 1st team All-Metro kicker and honorable mention All-State. I was the leading scorer on my team with 84 points and Special Teams Player of the Year. Here is the link showing me leading the state in field goals:

My goal is to use my combined academic and athletic excellence to obtain a superior education that will ultimately launch me into my desired career field. My dream for college is to attend a university with a successful football program that promotes close-knit team camaraderie and exhibits solid morals and strong character.
I am very involved in my church youth group, I attend a weekly Bible study, and I have been on many mission trips, both domestically and internationally.
I am currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at my high school. (The IB program is an academic curriculum more rigorous than AP classes.) I believe my 3.81 GPA and my ACT score of 30 (a 34 on the science section) are good indicators that I will succeed at an academically challenging university. I enjoy kicking/punting for my high school team and I plan for that to be a part of my college experience as well.
My long-term career goals are to study astrophysics and pursue a career with the Jet Propulsion Lab and NASA.
