The first thing people tend to notice about me is my size but there is much more to me than that. I am a dedicated athlete that works hard and encourages my teammates. I understand that it takes the whole team to make a football program successful and I enjoy being a part of the process and helping to lead when I can. My high school offense changed last year which allowed me to move into the tight end position. It may not appear that I have much experience, having only played it for a year, but I use the direction I receive from my coaches and teammates to improve daily. I look forward to improving my skills throughout the summer while working with a strength coach. I will take what I learn and continue to use that work ethic to improve throughout my senior year.
I was raised to know you must work for your goals that they won't just be given to you. I have always known that I wanted to continue my academic career after high school. I did not begin my football career at a very young age but have developed a love for the game through the last 4 years. I have amended my college goals to now include continuing my athletic career while earning a degree in criminal justice. I have maintained a high grade point average as a student athlete throughout my high school years. I am a member of the National Honor Society and do volunteer work through this organization. When my college career is completed I hope to use my degree to help others.
I feel like I can use my size, skills, work ethic, and positive attitude to be an asset to any team.
