Lyle Fleras '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches!

I wish to begin by thanking you for showing even a little bit of interest in my profile! I am of course a wide receiver mostly used in the slot. I took great leadership of my secondary school football team especially near the end of the season. I and the other team leaders led our Galt Ghosts to their best season in quite a couple years. 

I strive to learn and do better and I firmly believe even if you are the best, you can always be a little bit better. I find motivation in the little improvements that go a long way. I think about what I want to achieve and what I want to get out of it. I hope to bring success to any future team I may play for and I hope to improve to my absolute limit in both athletics and academics. 

My academic may not be as impressive as others but I have seen that when I truly focus and put my mind 100% on something, It becomes some of my best and most detailed work. Outside of sports, my goals academic wise for college would be to pursue my passions in music and writing. I hope to get everything that I can out of a college experience.

The most influential event that I have ever experienced myself was about a month after my brother, an NCAA athlete for baseball, moved into the US for his collegiate career. I noticed that even when faced with hardships, he persevered and never gave up. I truly want to follow his lead and become just as great of an athlete as he has become now. 

A great problem that I found when I began playing football was the nerves. I have now learned to not only get over them but benefit from them. Use the adrenaline rush I get just before the ball is snapped to go my full 100% on the field. Even if the ball doesn't come my way I want to help the play in every way I possibly can.
