My first goal in attending University is to get a great education. I love math and sciences and hope to major in Engineering. I want to do this while playing football. Though I play multiple sports well (wrestling, AA Hockey, mountain biking, and LaCrosse ); I love football. I love the challenge and hard work, the teamwork, and the game. I bring my best to every sport I play and this is one of my strengths. I have a exceptional work ethic; I am often cited for my leadership on and off the field, and I believe first and foremost in team. My role as Center on the field requires me to be aware, organized and a motivator to my line-mates. This led to me being selected as one of our JV Team Captains and as Offensive Line Captain for U 18, as a first year, and U16 Team Manitoba (Provincial Football Team). This year I am the Varsity starting center. I apply the same ethic to my studies and this has resulted in making our school's honor roll in both Grade 9 and 10 and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. My hard work has led to many individual and team honors. I was selected as the Junior Varsity MVP for 2018 and the JV MV Offensive Lineman of the year for 2018. I have been a starting Center for U18 and U16 Team Manitoba Provincial team for 2017,2018 and 2019 and was a Captain in U18 2019 and U16 2018. U16 took Silver in the Canada West National Championships two years running. U18 took 5th in the Province at the Canada Cup, July 2019. The Summer of 2018 I was selected to Team Canada West Offensive Line. I aslo achieved a Bronze in the 2018 Provincial Winter games in wrestling and helped lead my LaCrosse team to the City Championships in 2019. I believe in giving back to my community; this includes volunteering for our local Minor Football Association and for our Community as they recently hosted the 2019 TELUS Cup (Canada's Midget AAA Hockey National Hockey Tournament). I also enjoy my time hunting, fishing, and snow machining at our camp and around my home; I believe balance is important. One moment I am most proud of is at this year's Hammarskjold Football Banquet, our Head Coach stated in his award speech "This young man is the one every coach wants on his team; and the one they hate to see on the other team". This is what I hope to bring to football and my studies in University.
