I have been playing football since I was eight years old. Since I first stepped on the field, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I was fortunate enough to be selected as the starting quarterback and Team Captain for the FBU Oregon National Football Team three straight years. Our teams finished 4th, 3rd in the Nation. What that experience taught me is that football truly is the ultimate team sport. It is 11 guys on offense, defense and special teams all pulling for a common goal, and that is a national championship. There is no greater feeling than to lead a team down the field and score a tough touchdown. Although we did not win the ultimate prize it taught me many valuable lessons, the most being how to be a great team leader both when things are going well and when things do not. I have learned the value of staying calm even when being in the eye of the storm, knowing that my team feeds off of my leadership which is a big responsibility I fully accept.
I am always working to improve my skills as well as training to get bigger, faster, stronger and smarter. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates to give their very best. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you'll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at local youth camps and am currently a member of our student government.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself both in the classroom and the football field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
