Personal Statement

Hi my name is John Bizet. I am a junior at Bentworth high school. I am 6 foot 5 inches tall and weigh 300 pounds. I am from Scenery Hill Pa. I have started on the varsity team for two years and have been playing football since I was 5 years old and was always the big kid.  My high school coach was quoted this year describing me as "Blessed with size and strength" in the Valley Independent news paper.  Though this is a blessing now it was not in my younger days. The youth football program I played for had a weight limit.  Most years I had to diet and run just to play the game I love.  At the beginning of fifth grade my parents and I had to make a decision, move up and play with the 13 and 14 year old team or not play.  We decided to move me up.  With a lot of hard work and determination I received a starting position as nose guard and I was only 11 years old.  For the past two years I have volunteered as a coach for the youth football program.  I have helped teach the skills that were taught to me, and given hope to other big kids that they can play football.  Nose guard is my passion; however I have played all positions on both the offence line and defense line. I currently start at offence right tackle and nose guard. I work hard all year and push myself to be the best at any position.   At the end of my sophomore year in high school I was benching 350 pounds; squating 385 pounds and power clean 215 pounds.  I want to continue to play football at the highest competition level possible. Motivation, hard work and determination will help me to obtain this goal. I plan on majoring in mechanical engineering or security services.  Big school or small school I will work hard both physically and mentally to make a positive impact both in the class room and on the football field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
