Liam Hickey '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Liam Hickey and I am a student at Bethlehem Catholic High School. I am six feet two inches tall and I weigh 270 pounds. My 40 yard dash when last tested is about a 5.8 and my max bench is 225 for 10 reps, 265 for 3. My max squat is 375 for 1 or 2 reps. My greatest accomplishments are that I was recently elected the junior class president and am currently in that position, and that I earned a varsity letter in football as a sophomore while still being an honor student.  I am currently carrying a composite 3.75 GPA in the honors curriculum.

I have been playing football since 2nd grade. I have a blue-collar work ethic illustrated by the fact that I have been running/lifting almost every day since the end of last season and because of that I've added 25 pounds to my weight and shaved 2/10s of a second off my 40 yard dash. I would like to avoid going to a school in or around a big city; I would prefer to be at a school that is in or around a small town or city or in the country. I don't like big cities because I like peace and quiet every now and then. I am looking for a small school, but am open to larger ones. I haven't narrowed down what majors I am considering yet but I am debating something in biology, history or perhaps law enforcement. My athletic goals are to help and do what's best for the team in any possible way, to hopefully lead by quiet example, and to play wherever and whenever the coaches feel is in the team's best interest.
