Greetings Coaches,
I'm Derek Witmer and I started kicking at the age of 11. For the last 5 years of my life, I've been the starting kicker from Pony Football to High School. In the previous five years with my diverse athletic ability, I have been the starter in other positions as a Safety, OLB, WR and Kickoff Returner before strictly working as the starting Kicker and Punter. Being a member of the Cedar Cliff High School Football Colts, I am fully committed when it comes to training and listening to coaches and teachers with the upmost respect. I dedicate valuable time to put in the work , when no one else is looking, in order to improve my craft and overall work ethic. I focus in the classroom as well, transparent to how I focus on kicking and punting. My work ethic is fully committed when striving to reach the next level, being a student athlete. I'll work my hardest with every opportunity to be a valuable player on your team and upstanding role model for the university.
I wish to update you upon finishing my Junior Year at Cedar Cliff High School, continuing as the starting Kicker and Punter, since my Sophomore year for the Cedar Cliff Colts. Cedar Cliff achieved a 10-3 record getting to the 3rd Round of PIAA playoffs this year. I was honored to be named All Star on the 2021Mid Penn Keystone Football All Star Team as K/P. I will continue to participate in the Kohls Kicking Showcases, where I am presently rated a 4 Star from participating in the Kohls Eastern Showcase in 5/2021 in NJ and recently Participated in the Eastern Winter Showcase held in Thiel College, in Greenville, PA. Off the field, I strive for academic excellence as I was as inducted into the National Honor Society this Fall of 2021. I will be contacting the University Admissions and Football offices, to schedule a unofficial visit in Winter or Spring 2022. Thank you in advance for viewing my statistics and updated highlights on my NCSA account, Hudl and Twitter Accounts. I also attached my resume showing my achievements since elementary school to present. I will make myself available at your convenience, if wishing to contact me. Looking forward to building a strong relationship with entire coaching staff for the future to attend the university. My registered NCAA number: 2107278308.

Below are my 2020 (Starter as of Sophomore Year/Due to COVID Cedar Cliff only played 8 games)and 2021 (Junior Year) statistics, that I would like to share. Although due to Covid during my sophomore year with less game played, that may skew the percentages, wanted to showcase improvement and growth from Sophomore to Junior Year. My goals going into my Senior Year are to be best team player I can be, win PA State Championship, earn being repeated Mid Penn Keystone Football All Star, being selected to play in the PA Big 33 Game and have the opportunity to be invited for an official visit for possible consideration as a member of your University’s 2023 recruitment class.
