As of right now I am a Cegep student-athlete. I will be graduating in the spring of 2017 and I do not want my football career to end there. In high school I was a good athlete and a hard worker which is what made me stand out. When I arrived to Cegep, I was still a good athlete and a hard worker, but I was no longer one of the best DB's in the league by default. The competition improved and I had to adapt. What I think Cegep football gave me the most is the experience of playing against much older and more imposing players right away and I am now comfortable lining up infront of anybody at all times. I do whatever it takes to be the best player and teammate possible. For example, this past season in the Fall of 2015, I finished the season at 150 pounds. My positions coach requested I get bigger and stronger as it would help improve my stock in the eyes of schools at the next level. By January 2016, my weight was up to 176 pounds. Many doubted if my athleticism would still be as good as it was now that I was 26 pounds heavier, and I proved everyone wrong running 0.15 seconds faster on the 40 yard dash than my previous personal best that I had set at 150 pounds. I think this shows my determination and will to do anything and everything to be the best. I take pride in not only playing the game but studying the game by spending countless hours with my teammates and positions coach reviewing game film and practice film. In a very short amount of time, Football has become my life. It has become the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I go to bed. Every second of every day I am doing something to improve myself as an athlete and as a student, whether it is through studying, training or even my diet. I am more determined than ever to be the best student-athlete I can be!
