I am a 6'1" 215 lb. middle linebacker/fullback for the Burke/South Central cougars which is located west river in the south central region of South Dakota close to the border of Nebraska. I have been raised on a dairy farm located right south of the border in Nebraska which keeps me out of trouble and taught me to have a good work ethic.
I had double knee surgeries to replace my patellar tendon 2 years ago and have not worn braces or have not had any trouble with them since and am continuing to work hard in the off season to get my speed back up to where it used to be. I am involved in wrestling and track outside of football which keeps me healthy and in good shape throughout the year. I also maintain a job in the summer at Bartling Herefords Ranch outside of Burke.
I am a junior at Burke High school and have been starting for the last 2 years on both offense and defense, and also playing jv and a little varsity as an 8th grader. My freshman year our team went 5-3 making the playoffs but losing in the first round. As a sophomore we went 6-2 making the playoffs and losing in the quarter final game. I have continued to work hard during the off season to become bigger, faster, and stronger so that I can complete my dream of playing at the college level.
I am considered a student-athlete which means the student part comes before being an athlete. I work hard in the weight room and on the field to up my performance, but I work even harder in the classroom to maintain my grades to the best of my ability. I am involved in student council, c-club, methodist church organization, and the A/B honor roll.
My father is the defensive coordinator for our team and also was a 2 time all state running back and linebacker and played for the SDSU jacks. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a college athlete after graduating from high school.
