Zach Baker '21 Recruiting Profile

I am not sure if this is like most kids or not because it has always been a part of me....so when I say this -I REALLY mean it....but ALL I have ever wanted since as long as I can remember is to play college football.   I was raised with a ball in my hand as soon as I could walk then playing football, basketball and baseball from the time I was 4.   My uncles were strength and football coaches growing up in our local hometown college team.  I was always allowed to meet and be around the players that went on to play in the NFL.  I was blessed (because of my uncles) to get to run out of the tunnel with the players onto the field from age 2 - 10.  I KNEW what it felt like to run onto the field and to be a part of a winning team from my early years and I want nothing else for the rest of my years to play! I love the feeling of being a part of a team and being a leader to my teammates...it drives me, it motivates me, it calls to me.

While I am not on the field, I am studying, playing with my siblings or helping my parents.  We have a large family and I am one of the oldest so I enjoy teaching my younger brothers about sports or rebounding for them.  Our entire family also enjoys watching games together on the weekend or tailgating before game time of the home games.  We are also actively involved in our church as a family and we serve at our local Ronald McDonald House for St.Jude families from all over the world.
