Football, academics, and my faith are three areas of my life that I am extremely passionate about. Football is something that has fascinated me since I was very young. I have always been intrigued with the competitiveness and camaraderie of the sport. When I was in middle school, I jumped at the chance to play; however, I knew I had a lot to learn. Over the past few years playing football and basketball, I have learned a lot about myself and what it takes to be successful. Being a part of these two sports has taught me how essential teamwork and trust is to success. After one year of varsity as a freshman, I was fortunate enough to be elected as one of four team captains as a sophomore. I am very honored and proud to serve in this role. I want to be the type of leader who encourages and helps motivate the team to achieve their best. I feel through strong leadership, teamwork, and dedication teams can be successful. I want to be a part of a team that exhibits these traits and competes at the collegiate level.
Grades and academic success have always been important to me. I am currently number one in my class. While striving to achieve academic excellence, I balance it with other extra-curricular activities. Some of these activities include participating in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization, student council, and Leo Lions Club. I was also selected to participate in my school’s youth leadership program. My current college plan is to study engineering, particularly aerospace or aeronautical engineering.
The third thing I am passionate about is my faith, as it is extremely important to me. I am active in my youth group. For the past three years, I have volunteered my time to operate the live video stream camera system for the Sunday morning worship service. I also enjoy playing guitar. I have played guitar since I was five years old and is something I enjoy doing in my leisure time. Recently, I began playing bass guitar for the praise and worship team during the Sunday morning service. I plan to stay active in church during college and look forward to meeting new friends and serving.
I am excited at the potential opportunity to play football in college. I am fully committed to achieving this goal while being successful in my academics and remaining steadfast in my faith.
