I can remember sitting on the couch with my dad watching football on Sundays and saying "I want to be playing with them". My dad always told me you have to work for the things you want. Coming from a small town in the middle of Tennessee, where everyone knows everyone; it is rare to hear of a kid to make it out. I would like to be that kid. Football has influenced my life as long as I can remember. It has taught me leadership skills that I can use on and off the field. At the high school I currently attend we have never won a playoff game. I might not know what it feels like to win that playoff game, but I do know how it feels to work hard. Not only have I learned a lot in the past few years about the sport of football, but more importantly I have learned more about me as a person. Football has shown me that I have leadership skills, the work-ethic, and the uniqueness to lead a team.
I am wanting to pursue a major in business and accounting while in college. Academics are very important to me. I have maintained a high GPA while in high school and I feel I am prepared for the next level in my academics.
