My name is Reid Swolensky. I would classify myself as a wide receiver, but I will play absolutely anywhere on a field for a team willing to take a chance on me. Be that scout team, first team, or anything in between. I have found myself in a unique situation. i was Division I sprinter at Liberty University in 2020 during the height of COVID. In 2022, I transferred home to Memphis and decided to be a student. At first, routes and exercise in general was a way to remain healthy. However, I realized I missed football and never took the opportunity to fulfill my potential as a player. I began training for a walk-on tryout that never came. I contacted coaches and inquired information and was never answered. I haven‘t never training and could not move forward in my life without trying to do what I should have done years ago. I would never forgive myself if I never bet on myself. I understand the position of a walk-on. I want to be a part of making a team better, no matter what it takes. I understand nothing is given, but everything is to be earned and taken. I‘m ready to learn, work, train, focus, and become the best I can be through making others the best they can be. I am not afraid to work, and prove myself worthy along the way. I have been in college sports before and understand how to maintain a school-sport balance. I cannot wait to seize a moment I’ve been obsessed with since I was a kid.
