Josh Cousins '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" 200lb Quarterback that will graduate in 2012 from Denton, Texas. I have dreamed of playing college football since I was 4 years old and have excelled at every level of competition since I started playing organized football at 5 years old. All my trainers and coaches have consistently told me that I have an unwavering desire to learn and train without complaint. I believe that football is the ultimate team sport. I believe that hard work, dedication, and loyalty to your team produces champions. I feel my mental strengths are leadership, strong core values, and the ability to show by example that loyalty, honesty, and character are some of the most important things a football player should possess. I feel my physical strengths are QB intelligence, accuracy and mental toughness. I work very hard in the weight room and with my current trainers to continue to achieve more physical strength and stamina. I have always been able to learn plays and understand the theory behind offensive and defensive schemes. My current short-term goals are: 1. Return to the playoffs as a Senior and win State 2. Focus on pre-snap recognition of coverage and blitz schemes based on 1 and 2 high safety. 3. Continue to study for the ACT/SAT and score as high as possible. My long-term goals are: 1. Play football at the college level. 2. Start a football camp after high school for the younger kids at my school.
