Personal Statement

I am a 16 year old Sophomore Offensive Tackle and football is a big part of my family. My grandfather (Gene Little) played for Rice University and was drafted by the New York Giants, his brother (Jack Little) was a two time All American at Texas A&M and played for the Baltimore Colts, my dad played baseball in college at Texas Tech so I have been around sports my entire life. I played running back and linebacker until the 8th grade when I was moved to offensive and defensive tackle because of my size. I was an All Star in baseball, basketball, lacrosse and was MVP in football in 8th grade.  I was selected to play on a Houston All Star football team the summer of 2012 as a defensive tackle. Academics is very important to me and I was elected President of the National Junior Honor Society for my Junior High class and have made the Honor Roll every semester of my High School career. I started at left tackle on the varsity HS football team my freshman year as a 14 year old. I played varsity basketball and I compete in track & field. I played JV Lacrosse as an attack my freshman year and Varsity Basketball as a sophomore.I was selected as Sophomores to Watch in 2014 Blue Chip Recruiting Roundup by Randy Rogers recruiting service. I was asked to compete against junior and senior HS recruits this summer in a Friday Night Lights camp at the University of Texas. My HS football team just won the 2014 State Championship and I was named first team All Conference. In March 2015, I was chosen as a Rivals 100 Top prospect class of 2017. I feel I am very coachable, good teammate, have a hard work ethic both on the football field and in the classroom and would like to play for a school that values both academics and athletics.  I volunteer at the Houston Food Bank and enjoy working with handicapped children in helping them achieve their own personal goals.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
