I've immersed myself in the world of football for the past five years, embracing various positions on the field. During my freshman year, I seized the opportunity to become the varsity kicker, defying the notion that freshmen couldn't play at that level. This pivotal moment made me realize that I'm not just an ordinary kicker or your typical high school athlete—I possess the potential to excel even further in the realm of kicking.
In the past year, I achieved notable success, scoring a total of 76 points. I demonstrated precision by making 55 out of 59 PAT's (93.2%), and on 80 kick-offs, I averaged an impressive 56 yards per kick, with 49 resulting in touchbacks.
Consistently, I convey to my parents that my college aspirations extend beyond education; I aim to continue playing the sport that brings unparalleled joy into my life. Stepping onto the field serves as a sanctuary where problems dissipate, and it's just me and the ball.
The realization of my capability to play football in college intensifies my passion for the sport. This newfound fervor transforms my attitude towards practices, shifting from a desire for them to end quickly to a reluctance for them to conclude. What I bring to a team is a steadfast promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to arrive at the field and the last to leave.
My realistic athletic goals include persisting in playing the sport I love at a highly competitive college level. Additionally, I aspire to make a substantial impact on the team, serving as an example for those who follow. The satisfaction of knowing that I made a difference and gave my utmost effort each day would undoubtedly keep a smile on my face.
