Ian Pilgrim '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ian Pilgrim and I am a starting wide and slot receiver for my high school. I am raised in a football family with my father playing in the NFL for the Chicago Bears, my father Evan Pilgrim has inspired me to try and do the same accomplishments he has, the same with my uncles playing for BYU and my close friend Shawn Knight playing in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals. My family has taught me to respect others and also try and be the best I can be. I have been a second and third string for my team, ill always have respect for the players in the starting positions but ill always strive to be at their level of skill and pass it. I never argue with what I am told from my parents or Coaches. I learn quickly from what I am taught and with every mistake I make I practice and practice to make myself achieve my goals and future accomplishments. With my football family I always have support and I always learn from them. My main goal is to play college football and strive to pass my limits with the coaches and players I play with. What makes me different is that I always compete with other players either they are my teammate or not. I persuade my teammates to pass their limits in school and on the field. My High school is great and I love going every day. My teachers and counslors teach me a lot of material I will need for college and I love listening to what they have to tell and teach me. I am a 3.6 GPA students but my goal is to get all A's and get a 4.0 GPA. My Mother always Nags me about it but with all my accomplishments already she is still very proud of me. I am always involved in school activities and I always try my hardest in the classroom and on the field. My coaches love that Im always passing my classes so I can play in every game. I love playing football, its my favorite thing to do in my life and I always learn something new every day from it.
