When I was young, I loved watching football and decided that was the sport I wanted to play. I started playing flag football when I was five years old and transitioned to tackle football when I was in 5th grade. I have been a good role model to my teammates and that leadership skill has given me confidence to be a better player. I have also had the opportunity to learn from different coaches over the years and that knowledge has been valuable. I play positions on offense and defense which gives me an advantage because I can see plays from both sides of the ball.
Academically, my plan is to take AP and honors classes while maintain a 3.5+ GPA. My freshman year, I transitioned from my role as a Boy Scout to a four-year commitment in YMSL (Young Men's Service League), a service organization that is centered around leadership and volunteer work. While I am still exploring what I would like to major in, my goal is to graduate college while competing at the highest level.
I enjoy being active and involved, both on and off the field, which helps me stay focused school and in sports. I am also a varsity lacrosse player on a state runner up team which I feel makes me a well-rounded athlete. I believe I would be a great fit for your program because of my dedication to the sport, commitment to teamwork and drive to do my best both academically and on the field.
