My short term goal as I begin high school is to achieve my academic goals and support my football team. Both foundational goals will support my longer term goal to be accepted to a college and to play collegiate football as a quarterback. I started as a quarterback and linebacker on my freshman team this year. I have played quarterback for four years, including my years in Ashburn Youth Football League. As I continue my football career, I will work to lead and be a driving force in support of my team.
As an athlete and student, I have an exceptional work ethic and a good football IQ. I receive and assess information on the field quickly. I am highly coachable and I receive constructive feedback well. I work to reflect on my performance and be accountable as a leader and player. To prepare to compete at the next level, I am working with former NFL players to refine my skills, speed, agility, and strength.
In addition, I attained all A's in the first quarter of my freshman year as well as through my middle school years. I bring strong study habits and a desire to learn and help my teammates.
I lead by example and have tremendous support of my family and coaches. Lastly, in addition to focusing on academics and athletics, I also contribute to society and my local community. I volunteer at church, support the local shelter, provide support for foster children, and help package food for families in other countries.
I would make a great addition to your sports program and I am honored to be considered as a collegiate student athlete. Thank you for this opportunity.
