Dear Coaches,
My name is Brandon Pettit and I live in Bridgewater Virginia. I was introduced to playing football in rec league at the age of 8 years old. I have played with a core group of boys since then and we are still together on the same team as seniors. My love and passion for the game of football grew each year playing together with this same group of friends. We have created a strong bond and the brotherhood that we share is special. I love to compete and work hard to stay strong. I am obsessed with watching film and doing what I can to get better for each game.
My dad coached me for most of my younger years in football and he truly is my biggest mentor, hero, and also part of the reason I love football so much. He was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Cancer in August of 2020. Life has been hard watching him go through this battle, but he is strong and a huge influence on me to follow my dreams of playing football at the next level.
Getting a scholarship is important to me and my family with my dad being on disability due to his disease. But, I am weighing out all options at this time and have lots of support from my family. I struggle academically sometimes due to a learning disability, but I confidently say that all my teachers and coaches will attest to me being a hard worker. I am still thinking about my major and what I want to do, but am leaning towards a Physical Education teacher and coach. Playing at the next level in college and getting a good education means everything to me.
I am coachable and strive hard to better myself each day! I will make many plays for your team!
I appreciate all who take the time to learn more about me.
Respectfully,
Brandon Pettit
