Ian Frye '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ian Frye. I am 18 years old d/o/b 1/15/93). I am 6'6" and weigh 195 pounds. I am working hard on gaining weight and strength. I love sports and have played for teams since about age 5. I started with soccer, and have been on clubs in both my home town and a city 140 miles away (lots of driving). In the Summer of 2007, I played in the Youth World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden. I have continued playing soccer in high school and year made 1st team All-State in 2009 and in 2010. When I started 9th grade, my dad suggested that I try out for varsity kicker and now football is my passion. I started as kicker as a freshman and made 2nd team All-District. My sophmore year, I started as kicker and punter and made 1st team All-District and 2d team All-Region. My junior year, I made First Team All-District, First Team All-Region and Honorable Mention Coaches All-State Team. I am training with kicking coaches to improve my technique. I have attended college camps and a combine and won competitions. I was ranked 11th in the nation for 2011 kickers by Chris Sailer Kicking Service after I attended the NC Spring Camp in April 2009.I am a hard worker both on the field and in the classroom. It is my dream to play college football at the highest level my ability will allow at a school with strong academics. I am open to different types of college and locations, but I prefer somewhere in the southeast.
