My parents, both military veterans, raised me to always strive to be the best at everything I do, stay motivated and disciplined. Ultimately, my collegiate goals are to receive a degree in Business Administration, contribute to a winning team and be an NFL Draft pick.
The attributes that make me a good candidate for any team, are also the attributes that make me different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics. I am confident, mentally and physically tough, resilient, and because I am a "military" brat, I understand how to adjust and overcome in different environments. My primary position is DE, but my high school coaches trained me as a DT, which broadens my skill set, makes me valuable to a team, and allows me to contribute in more than one position.
Being a military brat and being raised by military parents, I learned about selfless service. In a way, that's what it means to me to be on a football team and why the sport is so important to me. I know what it's like to "play my position," a phenomenon that having two older sisters taught me well, but I also know what it's like when everyone is playing their position with excellence in the pursuit of one goal. Through hard work, the ethics that were taught to me, I can achieve my goals, treat others the way I want to be treated, and help others when you can. While my parent's duty to serve didn't always come with stable academics (I've attended 7 schools since Kindergarten), at times I wondered if I would ever be in the position to get recruited; but, I have faith that the plans for my life are rooted in God's timing. I am the best candidate because NO ONE WILL WORK HARDER THAN I WILL! While I am humble off the field, I take no prisoners while on the field and am looking forward to playing in college and welcome a chance to convey why I am the best candidate for your team.
